On Sunday, 22nd April a group of ex-learners and their families gathered together to enjoy the annual Spring Lunch, held at the Portland College campus in the Eastwood Suite. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal, which included a main course of roast lamb.
Following the meal, Assistant Principal for Development Edward Johnstone gave a warm welcome to everyone, and also outlined the college’s future plans for development.
Guests shared stories and discussed memories of their time spent at the college, and also took part in a quiz about the college’s past. Each person was entered into a free prize draw to win some delicious treats, which was won by former student Anne-Marie.
Each guest left with a goody bag full of Portland keepsakes, and one parent has since passed on their gratitude, stating the following:
‘Please accept our very grateful thanks to all concerned in any way with organising a really enjoyable time on Sunday. Greatly helped by the hoist being available of course - but interesting presentation, tasty lunch, quiz, raffle prizes and goody bags. And of course the good company! Hopefully we’ll be back sometime soon. Many thanks again.’
