Spaces for Hire at Portland
Whether you are looking to host a small business meeting or celebrating something special, our versatile venues can accommodate your needs.
Find your perfect venue from the options below:
Eastwood Suite
A flexible space in the Woodlands building & equipped with our licensed bar. Seated capacity of approximately 40 people.
Hawthorns
Hawthorns can accommodate approximately 80 when seated, or can be used to extend the capacity of Woodlands or Eastwood Suite.
Woodlands
Our largest space that when joined with Hawthorns and Eastwood, can accommodate approximately 280 people.
Linden Room
A private, smaller space within the Woodlands building that can seat 22 people in a board room or lecture layout.
Newstart Theatre
A large, flexible theatre & sports hall that can seat up to 220 with optional bleacher seating. For more info, contact newstart@portland.ac.uk
Woodland Adventure Zone
Combine your meeting with an adventure for your team! Choose from climbing, zip lining, archery and more.
Exhibition Room
A bright & airy meeting space opposite Newstart that can accommodate approximately 20 people when arranged as a board room.
Pathways (Sutton)
Classroom & social spaces that are great for community groups. For more info contact pathways@portland.ac.uk
Coffee Shop
Situated near Newstart and adjoined to the exhibition room. Great for social drinks or afternoon tea. Suitable for groups of up to 50.

Over the last few years the Rotary Club of Sutton in Ashfield have held President’s Evenings and other functions in the Eastwood Suite at Portland College. We can say that the experience has been very good indeed.
