Visit our brand new Coffee Shop!

Situated in our newly refurbished Newstart Hall, our brand new Coffee Shop is open to the public.

There is a tasty menu of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks, including a wide selection of barista style coffees using hand-roasted beans from 200 Degrees, as well as delicious Afternoon Teas on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which need to be pre-booked in advance.

The Coffee Shop is open to everyone during term times on Mondays to Thursdays between 10.30am and 1.30pm where it is managed by our learners, and on Fridays and Saturdays between 9.30am and 4pm, managed by our Enterprises Team.

We’re a Dog Friendly Venue

Did you know you can bring your pups along too? We have special dog-friendly tables on Fridays and Saturdays, perfect for coffee and cake after a nice woodland walk through Sherwood Forest.

Just look out for the 6 tables that are clearly labelled with a dog-friendly sticker. We have plenty of dog treats and there’s even a bell for dog owners to ring and our staff will come and take your order from your table.

If you prefer to join us from Monday to Thursday, dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area.

Portland Coffee Shop is in the Newstart Hall in the centre of the main campus. If you’re arriving by car you can park for free in the visitor car park on the right hand side as you enter the driveway. Then follow the signs to reception which is next to the Newstart Hall entrance.

The best cup of coffee ever!

I went to the new Portland Coffee Shop when it first opened as a trial and the coffee was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The service was great and staff were really helpful, and I really love the look and feel of the place! Will definitely be back.
