Developing Independence
Developing Independence – Your Pathway to a Confident Future
If you’re aged 18+ and unsure of your next step, Portland Pathways offers supportive programmes to help you move into employment, education, or training while building independence.
We provide access to work experience, volunteering, or a supported return to learning through smaller class sizes, extra support, and one-to-one guidance to build confidence. We can also help you plan your next steps as your EHCP comes to an end.
Portland Progress
Inspiring Futures (Trailblazer)
Our Portland Progress programme is suitable for anyone aged 19 and over, with or without an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). It provides opportunities to build your confidence, develop your skills and gain valuable experience, helping you to explore your interests, strengthen your independence and prepare for the next stage of your journey.
Inspiring Futures can support young people aged 18 to 21 who are not currently in education, employment or training to develop their confidence, skills and experience further, helping them to work towards their goals and aspirations, whether that’s moving into the workplace, further learning or pursuing other opportunities.
