As a community focused organisation, we want to share our excellent facilities and services with community members too. All profits raised from our commercial activities go straight back into our charity, which provides better futures for people with disabilities.
Newstart Theatre
Newstart is a contemporary multi-use sports and performance facility with a programme of activities designed for young people and adults with disabilities.
Woodland Adventure Zone
Opened in 2020, the triple-award winning Woodland Adventure Zone is a fully accessible forest adventure in the heart of Sherwood Forest.
Portland Coffee Shop
Situated in our newly refurbished Newstart Hall, our brand new Coffee Shop is open to the public 6 days a week.
Venue Hire & Team Days
We have a range of spaces perfect for events, parties and and team days. You can also book a visit to the Woodland Adventure Zone to make your day more fun.
Physio and Hydrotherapy
Our specialist learning and physical disability physiotherapy team supports Portland learners and citizens and private clients.
MUGA Pitch Hire
Our Multi use games area (MUGA) can be hired by local sports teams and clubs. Contact newstart@portland.ac.uk for more information.
