We were proud to attend this year’s Mansfield and Ashfield Business Awards 2026, which was held in Woodlands, one of our event spaces here at Portland Charity. This was an event dedicated to recognising excellence, innovation, and community impact across the industry.
It was a fantastic evening for our team, as we were honoured to be nominated for two awards. We were especially pleased to be named finalists in the Community Impact Award for our work on Portland Pathways, Newstart, and Woodland Adventure Zone, projects that reflect our ongoing commitment to making a positive difference in the communities we serve.
The highlight of the night came as our electrician, Ben King, was announced as the winner of the Rising Star Award. Ben began his journey with us as an apprentice, and his achievement is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and growth within the company. We couldn’t be more proud of his success.
Electrician, Ben King said:
“An absolute honour to be involved, I enjoyed the whole process from doing the interviews up to actually winning the rising star award. I could not be more grateful for the opportunity and would happily do it all over again.”
A team of our representatives attended the event to show support, celebrate the achievements of colleagues and peers, and enjoy an inspiring evening among others in the industry.
