Meeting all learners’ health care needs whilst promoting independence and self-medication


The nursing team consist of both registered nurses and a health care assistant and are committed to providing a quality and proactive service to meet your health care needs whilst promoting independence.

Personal Health Social Education (PHSE) lessons are supported by the team; you will have your own health care action plan whilst at College should you wish, and will have the opportunity to be involved in creating it. The plan will focus on enabling you to take ownership of your care and individual targets and where possible self-medicate as well as arranging the collection of scripts and medical appointments.

The Nursing team operate a Monday to Friday clinic working from 09.00 hours to 17.00 hours however the college also provides a high number of fully qualified first aiders to ensure learners’ urgent health care needs are met over a 24 hour period.
