On Tuesday 6th March the college will be hosting The Mansfield Rotary Club 27th Annual Courage Awards ceremony and lunch. The prestigious event celebrates the achievements of those who flourish in the face of adversity. Parents and teachers will attend the awards to honour the young individuals who have been nominated, and to hear their stories.
This of course will mean that the dining room will not be accessible for breaks or lunch service on that day. We apologise for the inconvenience, but this a fantastic opportunity to promote our college, its values, its staff and learners, and in particular those that are nominated for an award.
The rec will be set as a temporary dining area for the day and drinks will be available at mid-morning, afternoon break times, and at lunch, and will be facilitated by the colleges hospitality students.
Tomorrow’s lunch will still be provided by the catering team and will be in the style of a Mezze (mixed patter) which has been designed to promote healthy choices and lifestyles. Meals will need to be pre-ordered and collected from the catering department during the morning of the 6th March. Last minute orders should be placed this morning (Monday 05th March).
Due to the complexity of the Mezze, it will not be possible to provide individualised platters apart from those that require a vegetarian option or have a special dietary or nutritional need, otherwise the platters will all be the same and will be available to all learners and staff. There will however, be a cost for staff and for those learners who do not qualify for free meals.
