Housekeeper

Within the domestic’s team you will work closely with a small team of housekeepers and work across the college in a variety of areas.

On a daily basis you will come into contact with Portland Charity staff, learners and citizens.

You will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for all designated College facilities and reducing the spread of infection in accordance with relevant legislation.

Maintaining cleanliness of residential accommodation is a key part of this role. You will give support for learning facilities and other designated areas of the college by providing and promoting a clean and safe environment for all.

Your role will involve working with COSHH substances, manual handling and standing for long periods of time. You will have a minimum level of basic health and safety knowledge and a good level of written communication skills to support you within your role.

You will hold a Vocational qualification in Domestic Services or be willing to work towards this within a required timescale.

Working Hours

The working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 31.5 hours per week, 7am to 2pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 12.30pm Friday. Hours can be discussed in more detail at interview.
