Portland College is a Registered Care Home and SEN college providing care and education to people with a wide range of disabilities. We need caring and compassionate people, who can show commitment to these positive values and deliver safe care with energy and enthusiasm.

The Catering Department provides a variety of daily services in our on-site restaurant.  The department also offers catering services for wedding and banqueting functions throughout the year.

An integral part of this role will be to support the provision of high-quality food for learners, citizens and staff, along with catering and hospitality for external functions and events.  As a member of the catering team you will be involved in a busy calendar of events including weddings, private functions and conferences.

This role offers a great work-life balance with only having to work 1 in 4 weekends, but with the opportunity for earning an additional amount by working on the regular functions and events.

You will hold a City & Guild 706/1 and 706/2/ Diploma in cookery level 2 equivalent or be willing to work towards this qualification. You will possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate as well as having a basic nutritional experience or a relevant qualification.
