Autism Advance
Autism Advance is Portland College’s specialist provision for autistic learners. Set in a low stimuli, highly structured, calm and quiet environment known as The Limes, learners are encouraged to access other areas of the campus and have a timetable structured to meet their own individual needs.
Some of our learners access the specialist area whilst following vocational routes across the main campus still with a highly structured approach that meets their needs and allows them to thrive.
Autism Advance caters for learners with Autism from Pre-Entry up to Level 3 in a broad range of programmes which can be accredited or non accredited dependent on you and your goals and individual needs.
Before you start the programme you will have a comprehensive assessment through a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure that your needs are met once at college.
All classes at Portland College are small allowing excellent support from our dedicated staff and many of our current learners are supported 1:1.
