Portland to exhibit at Kidz in the Middle
On Thursday 10th March 2011, Portland College will be exhibiting at the Kidz in the Middle exhibition at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. There will be members of the Student Recruitment team attending on the day to exhibit and provide information about life at College to the many visitors on the day.
The event, open from 9.30am until 4.30pm, is one of the largest free exhibitions in the UK dedicated to children and young adults with disabilities together with their families, carers and the professionals who support them. There are a variety of organisations exhibiting, providing information on mobility, seating, beds, communication, access, education, toys, transport, style, sensory, sports, leisure and much more.
Run by Disability Living, similar events in the North and South have proved very popular. The Kidz in the Middle event will offer people, especially those in the Midlands, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Mid Wales and East Anglia an opportunity to attend the Kidz Events without the inconvenience of travelling too far. There are a number of seminars and activities taking place throughout the day for visitors to get involved with and there is also the opportunity to visit ‘The Funding Point’ – this is an area of the exhibition where parents and carers can access information on alternative funding for education, equipment and more besides.
If you are interested in attending, you can download a ticket for free from www.kidzinthemiddle.co.uk.
