Kickboxing success for Portland College students

A group of learners from Portland College in Mansfield have recently received their certificates for completing a Kickbox Fit class delivered by local instructor Chris Clarke, from Spirit Sport Karate and Kickboxing.

The sessions have been delivered at the College for over six months with over 20 students regularly attending the class. Certificates at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels have been awarded to the learners from the College, and the whole experience has been highly rewarding for all involved. Jack Parsons, NVQ Student at the College, said: “I look forward to Kickbox Fit and have managed to achieve the Gold Grade. The instruction is superb and I would recommend it to anyone as a great inclusive way to keep fit.”

Chris, a 3rd Dan Black Belt, is usually based at The Hockey Den in Sutton but has been bringing his team to Portland College to deliver sessions. For more information about Chris and Spirit Sport Karate and Kickboxing, his website can be found at www.spiritsportkaratekickboxing.com.

Dave Winter, Sports Coordinator at Portland said, “The Kickbox Fit class provides an extra specialist health and wellbeing session which is inclusive for our learners. It has proved to be one of the most popular sessions on the sport timetable and this is testament to the fantastic instruction from Chris and his team.”
