Medical & Nursing
The Nursing staff are a professional team of registered nurses and a health care assistant. We are committed to providing a quality and proactive service to meet the health care needs of our learners; that is based on health promotion and independence.
The Nursing team are actively involved in supporting the Teaching and Learning department to deliver Personal Health Social Education (PHSE).
All Foundation learners are provided with an individual health care action plan that encourages continuity of health care and as recommended and supported by the Department Of Health. Our focus is to enable learners to take ownership for their own health care and individual targets that promote independence.
The Nursing staff will enable where possible to promote self medication, organising and collection of scripts and appointments.
The Nursing team operate a Monday to Friday clinic working from 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours however the college also provides a high number of fully qualified first aiders to ensure learners health care needs are met over a 24 hour period.
