Support For You
On your first visit to Portland we will ask you to complete a small form to make sure we have your details, don’t let this put you off, see an example of the form below.
Once you are on programme you will be supported throughout your programme by a dedicated Tutor and other specialists, to provide regular guidance on course progress, job searching and additional individual skill needs plus feedback on your progress.
The aim of all our programmes from day one is to help you back into work through study and work placements giving skills, knowledge and confidence to take up that new role in work.

Work Zone
The Work Zone team will work with you to build Employability Skills needed to be successful gaining employment. A range of support sessions will give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to search for placements, employment and deal confidently with applications and interviews. This element is included in all Employment programmes providing access to individual support and guidance alongside specialist advice from employers, recruiters and Disability Employment Advisors.
