Getting Involved
There are many opportunities for parents/ carers to get involved, including the Quality Group. This group was set up to ensure a cross section of staff, students and parents could input into the way the College can improve and maintain high standards of provision for all. The half-termly meetings identify and assess areas to ensure compliance with Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, and recommendations are put forward to the College’s Senior Management Group for implementation.
Who is in the Quality Group?
The Group is made up of a cross section of representatives from the College, teaching staff, quality representatives and parents/ carers.
What are we working on?
We are working on identifying the standards of quality currently being achieved across Portland College and to strengthen and improve those standards and outcomes where possible. This will ensure the departments achieve the highest possible standards of care provision, guidance and support.
Have your say
If you would like to raise any issue, positive or negative, with the Quality Group please contact Lynne Sheldon who will pass this on to the Group Meeting.
