Charity begins at Home(steads)
Portland College this week received a fantastic donation from a local community group after being chosen as their nominated Charity of the Year. The College was chosen by the Homestead Community Centre in Kirkby-in-Ashfield who have organised various events throughout the year to fundraise for the College and generate a substantial amount of money.
Pictured above are some of the many generous people at Homesteads, together with learner Jake Norris and Learning Support Assistant Ian Black receiving a cheque for the fantastic sum of £1067!
Everyone at Portland College would like to say a big thankyou to everyone at the Homesteads for their generosity and support of the College, and we hope to continue this relationship in the future.
