Annual Awards Day held at Portland College
Friday 9th July 2010 saw Portland College host their Annual Awards Day. On a fantastic summery day, a vast crowd of students, staff, parents, carers and invited guests attended the glitzy ceremony hosted by College Principal Mark Dale, with guest of honour Jean Pardoe OBE, Chief Executive of both Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Futures, handing out the trophies.
In total, 25 awards were given out for achievement in a variety of fields, handed out to current learners and students, past students, volunteers and staff members. The ceremony also included a summary of Portland life by Foundation Learner Karl White, and a speech from Jean Pardoe about her positive experiences of working alongside Portland College.
Many congratulations to everyone who has completed their studies at Portland College this year and to the recipients of the many prizes.
