Payroll Giving

How it works

Donating via Payroll Giving provides the College with a continuous flow of income, which is boosted by the taxman, not taxed. Giving on a regular basis helps us to plan our work and ensure it is spent where it is needed most. Take a look at the table below to see how your donation would grow, at no cost to yourself, by this donation method, thanks to the tax rebate.

How much should I give?

This is your personal decision. You can give as much or as little as you like.

How do I join the scheme?

Just complete and return the application form and we will do the rest!

How can I find out if my employer offers Payroll Giving?

Ask your payroll department and if they do not offer the scheme, suggest they start one - it is easy and inexpensive to run.  If your employer does offer the scheme, remember to ask if they will match your donation.

Do I have to commit for a long time?

No. If your circumstances change and you no longer want to donate this way, inform your payroll department that you want the payments to cease.

Will I get unwanted mail asking for more money?

We will write to you to thank you for your donation and you will be entitled to the benefits of being a Friend of Portland.  The information you provide is protected under the Data Protection Act and can be used only for the purpose that it was given.
