Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Parent and Carer Event
Portland College has joined up with Landmarks College in Derbyshire to host an event where parents, carers and their families get the chance to meet new and existing providers of post-16 services within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Taking place on Saturday 20th July 2013 between 10.00am to 3.00pm, the event is aimed at disabled people currently at school and their families to give information about their options when they leave school at Post 16.
The event will include workshops on funding changes, benefits, transition, local college provision, short breaks, respite. There will also be the opportunity to get involved in a number of taster sessions in art, sport and cheap assistive technologies.
